Karlo Gagulić is a graduate student of Film and Television Directing and Production at VERN. He is the founder of the association Playbox Production, which is dedicated to promoting audiovisual arts by authors under the age of 35. Within the association, he launched the Playbox Shorts Film Festival, which in just three years has grown into one of the largest gatherings of young filmmakers and audiences in Croatia, attracting over 2,000 visitors annually.

He has directed a number of short fiction films that have been screened at both domestic and international festivals. In addition to his artistic work, he is involved in organizing cultural events and producing video content for cultural institutions, brands, and the music industry. He is particularly interested in projects at the intersection of film, music, and new media, through which he aims to bring the art of cinema closer to a wider audience.
