Jörg Tittel
Director, screenwriter, producer and designer
Jörg Tittel is a Belgian director, screenwriter, producer and designer born in 1978 in Brussels. He studied filmmaking in New York at the Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Conservatory. He began his career as a video game journalist, and then worked on the game “Minority Report”. He is the co-founder of the production company Oiffy.
He directed the film “The White King” (2016), a science fiction drama that has been shown at numerous festivals and stars Jonathan Pryce and Fiona Shaw. He is the author of the graphic novel “Ricky Rouse Has a Gun”, which was listed as one of the best books of 2014 by the Boston Globe. He also directed the satirical film “NYET!” about Brexit, which was shown on Sky Arts in 2023. His work includes films, theatre, video games and graphic novels. He is a member of the BAFTA and is a frequent speaker on transmedia storytelling. He is known for his innovative approach and combination of different media.
He is currently in post-production on the animated feature film A Winter’s Journey,
starring John Malkovich, created in collaboration with PlayStation and
Sony Pictures Classics. The video game The Last Worker, released in early 2023,
was the only video game in competition at the 78th Venice Film Festival.
