Youri spent thirteen years as a journalist and editor-in-chief of the Dutch edition of Official PlayStation Magazine. He also led the website PlayStationPure and contributed articles on music, film, and games to outlets such as P Magazine, DVD Extra, and TeVe-Blad. In addition, he wrote and edited video segments for the TV show Gamepower on JIM TV.

After transitioning from journalism to marketing, he became a lead creative at several agencies, developing campaigns for top clients including Netflix, Fox, Disney, Warner Bros., Ubisoft, PlayStation, and Xbox. In 2018, he joined VAF as the organization’s first Head of the Games Fund.
